Scott joined PlayPulse as an advisor in February of 2013 and had an immediate impact. He brought with him a wealth of expert knowledge on strategic management, project management, and product development. All of this was coupled with a high degree of
emotional intelligence to assist PlayPulse through an angel conference, company launch, and pivot. Scott's dedication to me and my team has never
wavered and he continues to be a tremendous asset. I highly recommend Scott and consider him to be a trusted advisor.

Scott Weaver, Founder
Since 2011, I have been consulting companies and business owners to bring about change and assisting growth by uniting
technology, business, and people. There are many moving parts in a operating company. I bring expertise to
assist owners get through uncertainty and bring solutions forward when improvements are desired.
My approach is to adapt practical experience with best-practice methods to provide clear solutions and paths forward.
I have strong analytical, relationship, and learning capabilities. I have 17 years in industry, all in engineering R&D and new product development inside multi-national companies. I contributed and lead multi-cultural teams for high-volume consumer electronic products. The dot.com bust and its aftermath was a challenging career time for me. After 4 1/2 years in 4 companies at 2 desks, I had enough! I went back to school full-time to receive a real MBA, then joined an university tech spin-out before starting my own consulting business.
My start-up experience includes R&D engineering and the founding CEO of an Oregon State University spin-out company commercializing nano-tech products for the solar industry. I took the company from a LLC to C-Corporation to proto-type revenue. I did grant writing and was Principle Investigator (PI) fulfilling NSF STTR Phase I/IB grants ($180K). And the company is still in business!
I am also very active in the entrepreneur community and have literally seen hundreds of business plans and presentations. I have volunteered as president of the Corvallis business incubator, Business Enterprise Center and at Oregon State University's Advantage Accelerator, an university commercialization accelerator. Also was a mentor for the Clean Tech Open
For education, I have a Masters in Business Administration with honors in management from Willamette University and a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Japanese Studies from Oregon State University. While at Willamette University, I participated in a nationally recognized Angel Investing Class where we invested in real companies with real money.
Going beyond innovation projects, I relax by growing a small garden, running, and reading a lot of books (usually 2 or 3 a month).
You can see more of my background on Linked-in. Once again, feel free to contact me with any questions.
